Tectotum Cognistigon Tetradymite is a hulking figure of a Tech priest, both due to their very significant augmentation and their multiple legs, able to increase their height to be able to reach to top of most standard imperial vehicles. Always armed with an Omnissarian Axe matching their large height, and often seen with an exotic rifle carried by one of the many following servo skulls.
Exterior layer of their physical presentation will always be a split between the Crimson of Mars and the Blackness of the Unknown joined by the certainty of the steel. (To this end they have their right side in Red with Silver crenulation trimming, and their left side is black with the same trimming) Thereunder there are always armed and armoured. Tetradymite is normally encapsulated within an unknown variant of, presumably, power armour unique to the Adeptus Mechanicus even harder to identify under their bulky robes.

When engaged in conversation they have adapted their voice-box to a neutral tone and this matches their speech patterns as well. As a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus they are noticeably speaking in their 3rd/4th language when it comes to Gothic and this comes over in their very simple vocabulary as well as a preface to anything said to allow for clearer communication.
Noteworthy Features » Their entire head has been replaced with a metal mask after an incident and they fashioned a replacement which is modelled on the Cog Mechanicum. » Crux Mechanicum – Over ½ of my flesh has been replaced with the certainty of steel, but little to none of this is externally visible aside from some rosettes and seals attesting to the degrees of initiation into the deeper mysteries of both the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Inqusition » Spider Legs – 8 powerful legs which allow them to both crouch low and also stretch much higher than most mortals. » Always accompanied by a small 'herd' of servo skulls, with at least 1 Vox Servo-Skull being dedicated to introducing Tetradymite to whomsoever needs it.
THEIR PERSONAThey are both polite and simply spoken with a calm and direct nature. This does conceal the steel-within and one more than one occasion persons belligerent to Tetradymite has been later found to have been servitorized and cleaning floors for the rest of their existence. Their decades of service having earned them the right to take such matters into their own ha... mechadendrites. Their age and years of service reflected in what appears to be a pragmatic view of life, but more deeply it is the hope found in those devoted to the faith.
They will conduct much of their work in private to contain any corruption, external influence or contamination. This will naturally be coupled with extensive reports often going into excessive details. When working with them you will find they are unhappy to share any details or information that you aren't specifically cleared for. Despite this seemed closeness they will assist anyone in gaining the access, knowledge or other pre-requisites to work along side them, or at least to be provided the reports or briefings.
Aside from the obvious relish for research they are always ready and willing to dive into any field work and have endeavoured to always be able to provide mission critical data. Where there are degrees of uncertainly any speculation will be shared with approximation of the data’s veracity. This knowledge is only outdone by the preparedness in tools that they bring into the field, being able to handle anything from an undetonated fusion bomb, a scrap code infested servitor cluster to repairing a Valkyrie ship whilst falling out of the sky. There is a noted preference for working with the members of the Adeptus Astartes but as to why is not obvious.

» Factotum Minoris Xecusis Alfixus VII A member of the admech whose work and efforts were similar to those of Tetradymite. Both students and extremely knowledgeable they were initially academic rivals but this has since bloomed into, for Xecusis, a proper enmity. This is unbeknownst to Tetradymite and they will speak favourably of Xecusis and their work.
» Major Sinjon Smyth (Ret.) A former Major in the Astra Militarum and all around good egg, well he was until he was deeply injured during a small skirmish with some heretics. Their booby trap taking the Major's Left arm and both of their legs off. With the only option for help being Tetradymite's emergency care and subsequent cybernetic limb replacement the Major lays the blame for everything at their feet. Suffering from both PTSD and Cyber-Dissociative disorder they are working in secret with their former military colleagues (and more) to make sure that "that butcher of a surgeon" is brought to justice.
THEIR APTITUDES Before their emergence from their birthing tube they, like all members of the Adeptus Mechanicus were indoctrinated via the Noosphere. Specifically into the knowledge and skills of the trade Tetradymite was expected to follow. These specifically covering the nuisances of data structure, connection, and processing. These basics were quickly surpassed, and Tetradymite started to focus on uptake and retention. Before they had completed the in-vitro training Tetradymite was already interfacing with the machine spirits in the growth chamber. It did cost a number of the other developing tubes, but progress always comes with a cost.
Once “born” they started their true training. All of this was grounded on the tenets of faith, with a side helping of opportunism. Specifically, being trained to sort and organise data, it was not within initial specification that Tetradymite would also retain the data they were parsing. So, to their progenitors it was a surprise when Tetradymite completed the Acolyte trails across multiple disciplines. This is what attracted Magos Errant Quintech XVII to mentor Tetradymite. They required this of all their mentees and Tetradymite was no exception. Having to pursue Initiate level of study in every available field. This was further than Tetradymite could reach at the time, and so were no Arch-Magos, but they are, as proven, an Adept of many Divisios rising well into the 0.0467892% of the Adepts Minoris.
Thereafter their formal education was resumed by the Inquisition, first into the traditions and formalities of the organisation and thereafter into the 3 fold threats to the imperium. Since then Tetradymite has been aiming to master as many of the Adept Minoris so as to be acknowledged as Magos. This appears to be the reasoning behind their willingness to enter the crucible that is field work, the corrupting tightrope of xeno-investigation, the cliff edge of damnation that is the purging of heresy, they will be proven worthy of recognition and ascent.

THEIR ARMORThe Vault of Knowledge Layer 0 - Mechanical Limbs/Torso/Head etc
Layer 1 - Subdermal Armour - a 'skin'layer covering their whole body. This is detailed with the Electroo tattoos accumulated from decades of loyal service in the Admech.
Layer 2 Anything from basic flak to the mechanicum powered armour. They have customised a set of Carapace armour as well as a set of powered Dragonscale Armour which is their preferred field equipment. Due to its direct connection to the potentia coil they prefer to wear the Dragonscale but will take it off is the size will compromise the mission. Carapace customization - Aside from the quality it has been customized to be fully sealed as well as a supplementary air supply. It has a full suite of heads up/UI elements to allow for better integration into Inquisitorial teams. The legs, all 8 of them, are also coloured in alternative Red & Black with the gunmetal highlighting.
“Vault of Knowledge” Dragonplate AdMech Powered armour – This is a custom suit of armour gifted to Tetradymite as a result of being able to decode a Xeno code and allow for a preventative strike saving millions of lives. Had Tetradymite been able to work in the field more lives could perhaps of been saved. Directly fitting all of the usual mechadendrites this armour has served well for many years. As befitting a servant of the inquisition they have upgraded the suit with - Ceramite Plates, Hex/Penta/grammic Wards, True Silver Filigree, Enhanced Auto Senses, and further personal customizations. Each of the legs again follow the theme of Red/Black but with Silver detailing.

THEIR EQUIPMENT » Crux Mechanicum - Replacement of flesh Cybernetic Replacement & upgrade for all possible flesh parts specifically: Arms, Legs (for the Arachnid set up), torso, head, all senses (touch via the armoured skin, addition of auspex into the 'visual' spectrum, as well as Auto Sense (rather than into the Power armour), respiratory tract (this comes with a large O2 storage solution for days of operation without , digestive tract and lastly reproductive organs (all of the DNA/data needed for creation of kids/clones etc is stored internally). Each of these replacements has been personally made if not initially installed by them. Due to multiple injuries over time there is a difference in build between each of the parts and this is usually something addressed when they have time. Lastly they have undergone the Rite of Pure Thought and had 1/2 of their brain replaced with blessed cranial circuitry.
» Tools of the Adeptus Mechanicus No Tech-Priest would be without their extra tools and mechadendrites and they're no exception. Being able to work in hard vacuum as well as many other hostile environments means they have taken advantage of the tools they have been given access to. To this end they have an expanded Servo-Harness with many useful tools and mechadendrites attached. Their list of tools matches any of the basic and advanced tasks they might be required to undertake. Specifically medical, technical, scanning, welding, optical scanner, data-port/spike (for accessing other data systems) as well as the detailed integrated Melta-gun. They also have a multitude of manipulator mechadendrites for taking place of their hand insomuch as possible. They also have a very advanced MIU to try and combat any corrupt machine Spirits and be able to access Xeno data sources.

BIOGRAPHY Tectotum Cognistigon Tetradymite They were sired by a pair of Archivum members of the Adeptus Mechanicus, and was were gene-tailored for data access & retention. They learned the tenets of the faith during their early years stayed close to the faith for many years work learning from their progenitors. After they had completed the numerous trials of the Acolyte and even many of the trials of the Initiate. Through their natural talent and later sponsorship from their mentor they were sequestered to travel around various Archives, collecting and collating the data found as well as aligning the data with current Mechanicum thinking. During this time they came under the mentorship of Magos Errant Quintech XVII and was formally assigned as one of their many assistants. During this time of service, Tetradmyte (pre Malatrix) came to 'rest' in the Corinthean sector. Finding this a well documented source of data, xenos and more, they made this their main base of operation, as ensuring veracity of information was one of their core functions. .
Initially working from a remote library detailing and listed all the interred documents but their study was soon interrupted. In previous years the planet had been invaded by orks and they had not been burned out properly resulting in first feral orks and shortly after a much more significant threat of a waaarghband. It was during this time Tetradymite became acquainted with Cavalry Officer Rupert Farquar with their mutual disinterest in the plight of the poor and under-trodden. Tetradymite was more than happy to provide data to support Rupert's tactic of sending waves and waves of men to kill the Orks, resulting in what would have been seen as am excess of causalities were it not for some slightly creative book-keeping. Their bond solidified when Tetradymite presented Rupert with a hand-crafted "custom" bolter servo skull, made using a particularly large Orks head. It initially served as a bit of a joke and amusement for Rupert's noble friends. Then the jump boys came and managed to land a deep strike into a peasant hunt and all hell broke loose. The skull saved Rupert, got him laid and did the decent thing of exploding to hide the evidence before reinforcements arrived.
The poor tactics used and the blooming ork force lead to a proper Astra Militarum response and the actions on the planet saw both our fortunes rise with promotions all around. This obviously pleased Quintech XVII and led to a much more comfortable position working with the noble circuit. In exchange for basic cosmetic surgery, weapon/equipment modification and scrimshawing, Tetradymite happily acquired access to the data vaults of many of the families within Rupert's social circle. Things were going well, and it seemed Tetradymite had found their gravy train, till some smart-arse from the Adeptus Administratum started running the numbers for the Ork conflicts. In doing so they found quite how many avoidable losses were suffered, both in material and manpower. This led to Tetradymite 'taking the hit' for Rupert, and they took to the stand in the following inquiry. The Ordo Xenos got involved and had it been a full Inquisitor that headed the investigation panel they should possibly have been servitorized. Instead, they "volunteered" to undertake a good deal of fieldwork and data analysis tasks for the inquisition.
Since then they have spent the last 194 years in the service in the Inquisition. It is hard and often slow one life, but their ability to take a head down approach coupled with help from their mentor saw Tetradymite slowly and surely rise in reliance. Their previous foibles now a very old note in Tetradymites file, rather than the blemish it was formerly seen as. Since then they have accompanied many missions, even some solo actions against all enemies found in the sector. With each mission they always come out enriched, be it in being able to requisition more parts, more upgrades, more resources and more tools. Tetradymite has honestly and sincerely built a very strong reputation as someone willing to put in the time, be it diving into archives for 2 years to find a file, or hot-dropping into the field to collect data on the latest scrap-code attack (alongside occasionally purging the infection). This continual work, and dedication put them firmly into the good graces of Inquisition, specifically Inquisitor Alessio Lapice.
Futher data requests into Tetradymite missions and service are sealed under the authority of the Holy Inquisition, if you want to know you should know who to ask as, like many, they are under many oaths of secrecy.
