Hailing from the Flesh Tearer's Chapter, Brother Librarian Archon has been seconded to the Deathwatch to bring the Emperor's Wrath to Corinthean Space. Bearing a psychic hood, devastating chain fist, and rage never ending, Archon is a devastating melee combatant that gives credence to the horrifying nature of the Astartes.
Physically, Archon is never seen outside of his armor, preferring the security it offers compared to the comfortablity of bare flesh. His face could be considered squashed and uneven, a side effect of the bone growth and enhanced astarte biology but even taking this into consideration, Archon has an animalistic face with teeth like that of a hungry canine's.

THEIR PERSONA Brother Librarian Archon can best be compared to a guard dog or a sheathed weapon. Typically stoic, quiet, his form and presence offer nothing short of an aura of dread. The man psychically emanates a sense of anger and violence, a constant keening for blood that pulls from the Red Hunger's curse to an almost heretical degree. Typically quiet outside of his cries for battle, the man is agreeable with most plans due to his own lack of planning, eager to go along with anyone who surmises a plan to allow him to enter the fray. In combat he fully gives in to a maddened blood lust, fighting like a psychically enhanced beast to gore and blooden himself. His mental gifts allow Archon to enhance his physical might through the use of bio-mancy and weapon warping powers taunt to him by Psykers hailing from the Sons of Sanguinius, however, his own technique of psionics revolve entirely around brute force methods that leave him as a catalyst of warp phenomena. Outside of the warzone Archon is contemplative and enjoys the company of his Brothers, using them as distractions from the near constant pressure of the warp that surrounds his mind. While no self proclaimed scholar, Archon will readily dive into books of philosophy and has enjoyed one or two evenings painting to relay his own thoughts into physical form. His own goals are focused on his service to the Imperium, striving to be promoted to the higher echelons of the Deathwatch and to bring honor to his chapter. While he is a proud Fleshtearer, Archon hosts a history with his chapter and a dismissal to the Deathwatch that he does not share readily.
His most proud memory is during that of his time with a kill team detached to the Jericho Reach. During one of his many missions Archon had the privilege of destroying a Black Legionnaire, ending a Veteran of the Long War and receiving the traitor's Chain Fist as a trophy.

Sent here to establish a Deathwatch presence within the Corinthean space V'ar is considered fresh and green by his peers but is nonetheless ready to perform his duty for the Emperor. A Deathwatch Blackshield, V'ar is considered to be in a suicidal role within the new space, but one that denies him the Emperor's Mercy. It is unknown what his original Chapter was, but V'ar utilizes a large singled handed power sword and a storm shield. Devastating in melee combat, V'ar prefers to lead his teams from the front but is typically locked within his Watch Tower to direct multiple teams at once.

THEIR APTITUDESAs a trained Space Marine Archon has expertise in multiple forms of combat ranging from hand-to-hand, demolitions, ballistic, and of course, the use of melee weapons. Adeptus Astartes training also includes basic first aid, survival and evasion, general lore, small team tactical training, and military structure.
As a Librarian, Archon has also been trained in the nuances of the Warp and has an understanding of how the Warp reacts to the presence of souls, psychic study, and basic safety lectures against daemons. While typically not used by Archon, he has also been trained in the workings of the Mind due to his study of Telepathy and has a firm grip on basic psychology. His training on Biomancy has also left him with an expertise in biology and dissection.
Finally, as a member of the Deathwatch, Archon has received extensive training over xenos biology, and psychology. Considered a specialist when it comes to forming tactics against xenos incursions Archon has a deep insight to Tau and Ork tactics

» Ugly as sin While Space Marines are not known for their beauty, the surgical processes of transhuman evolution has left Archon looking disproportionate in size and shape. Too wide for his height, barrel chested, and stalwart, Archon's body is disfigured. His face sports extensive surgery and bares more similarity to an angry animal than a human man. » Uncomfortable PresenceArchon psychically emanates anger within the space immediately next to him. This usually manifests in other by feelings of agitation, restlessness, and a quickness to anger. Those who are aware of the effect can block it out with sufficient willpower. ACCOUTREMENTS THEIR WEAPONS» Chain Fist A large crude weapon that was sanctified on Mars, fought in the Long War, defaced in the years between, and resanctified in the blood of heretics.
Visually, the Chainfist appears as a massive gauntlet-like device with oversized fingers, each finger tipped with viciously serrated chains. The glove portion of the glove is coated with multiple, massive sawblades, entirely removing the user's ability to grasp an object without rending it.

THEIR ARMORDeathwatch Librarian Armor, Standard issue Clad in a mismatched set of Mark 5 Heresy armor, Archon wears cobbled-together war gear that's been repaired more than it was ever expected to be. The armor bears standard studs across the shoulders and greaves, having saved his life more than once by deflecting a blade or shot. His helmet bears a similarity to the grilled style worn by standard marines but has since been adapted into a psi-enhancing bucket connected to the cowl of his power armor chassis. Most impressively, however, is the replacement right arm of the power armor. Having been unfit for use with a chain fist, the left arm has since been replaced with the internals of refurbished terminator armor, granting it increased strength at the downside of being obnoxiously loud.

The Psyker touches an injured creature and is able to completely heal minor wounds, or reduce life threatening wounds to stable. The healing process is extremely painful and can only be used on a single wound safely, continued use can result in the manifestation of bodily mutations.

Archon lays his hand upon the target and a crimson glow erupts from the wound. Organs sprout new cells and clump back together, blood production squirts into overdrive, bones snap together, and the skin stretches together like the hide over a drum.

Lightning fires from the Psyker's outstretched hand and causes devastating damage to whatever it strikes, as well as whatever is immediately around it.

Archon's hand splays out and lightning crackles down from his temple to finger tips. Power swells in his palm before exploding in a crackling ray of white lightning with devastating results. allies and foes alike beware.

Channeling their inner willpower, the Psyker is capable of spurring their mind into a reckless rage without reason. This rage grants them increased physical strength and toughness but reduces their ability to perform actions requiring higher levels of thought.
Most users under the effects of Depths of Rage are unable to use their ballistic weapon, use computer systems, or do anything that is not fighting. Users who are unused to such powerful psionics or lack the willpower to control themselves can even devolve into attacking their own comrades.
»Power Description
Archon's body sparks with electricity before his body becomes stiff with hoarfrost. With a bellow of rage he erupts into a furious whirlwind of death and violence.
For others, they will feel an incomprehensible rage and see visions of a burning world. Their enemies are overlayed with visions of a traitor wearing black armor and emblazed with a red eye, the only way to lessen their burning anger is to slaughter whoever they have within their sights.

He grew up in the dark, surrounded by fear, violence, starvation, and fending for himself. Whether it was on a Hive World, Deathworld, or some kind of mixture, he does not remember; he can only recall the pain of the Trials. His story is not one of rising to glory or excelling where others did not. Instead, he fought and scrabbled for what he had and what he needed. Archon killed when told, moved when told, ate, slept, and talked when told—an average Astartes within a chapter of angels. It wasn't until his psychic awakening that he stood out.
While all Sons of the Angel hold the Black Rage and Red Thirst within them, Archon Vastum took both in stride to a dangerous degree. After the implementation of his gene-seed, the resulting trials took on a new tone. Blood was irresistible as water, and that night he slew another aspirant in the dead of night. He was found by the Chapter mentors with his mouth awash with blood and his mind soaked in anger and fury. He lashed out psychically, striking the closest marine and knocking the warrior aside. His response was not one of fear or shame, but that of rage and visions of a terrible battle aboard a ship he had never walked. He screamed a name he did not know and called out for sons he did not have.
The Fleshtearer Librarians eventually sedated Archon. Their wills forced his own down into an inescapable prison while he was subjected to both physical and mental interrogation—tried for heresy, tried for treason, and tried for his will to live. Archon would eventually be freed and instead inducted into the Flesh Tearer's Librarium. His mental rage was turned into a controlled weapon rather than the firestorm it typically became. But regardless of what the Librarians did, Archon was nearly always close to that blinding rage, dipping into it just slightly too far.
His psionics suffered over the years, his inability to control the power he laid into them causing every use to be dangerous and weakening reality around him at the slightest use of his powers.
The events of this ongoing threat would culminate during a mission with his Brothers to destroy an insurrection on an allied Imperial world. The resistance was fiercer than expected, armored soldiers and heavy weapons being deployed against his squad and resulting in casualties. Stepping out of cover into the maelstrom, Archon attempted to form a kine shield, to defend his brothers and absorb the assault with his Will. The shield formed at first, but quickly grew out of control—an electric shield turning into a lightning storm that grew from the shackles that were Archon's mind and was released in the form of a warp explosion. The resulting attack destroyed the rebellion, his Brothers, and the hive block he stood in. The trial afterwards was short; Archon did nothing to protest. Banished from the Chapter, Archon was sequestered to the Deathwatch—his only hope to die in the glory of the Emperor before more pain could be caused by his powers.
During his tenure in the Deathwatch, Archon has dealt with a range of xenos. His first assignments were of an Ork infestation on the outskirts of a hive city. The close-range street-to-street fighting lent well to Archon's ability to deploy close-range psionics and gave him the capability of slaying a Warboss in melee combat. The following years had Archon deployed to a Space Hulk within neutral space. Assigned to a local Crusade, Archon was tasked with assisting in exploring, clearing, and charting a spacehulk infested by Tyranids. During his time here, Archon watched numerous brothers be slain by the alien race and has since grown to particularly dislike them.
Perhaps Archon's proudest moment in the Deathwatch occurred within the Jericho Reach. During an investigation under Inquisitor Kostis Kostakos, Archon was deployed against a force of heavily armed rebels believed to be working with the Archenemy. During the fighting, a veteran of the Long War joined the fray, a Chaos Space Marine.
Chainsword in hand, Archon went blow to blow with the Chaos Marine. The two danced back and forth for over an hour, their personal duel surpassing the battle and evolving into a dance between two, unwilling to interrupt; the Chaos Marine's brothers fought against Archon's own. Archon could never say the events of the battle around him, but he does vividly remember the battle with the Marine, the end of which resulted in Archon allowing the marine to grip his right arm with the chainfist, the rending talons trapped long enough for Archon to bisect the marine and remove his arm at the shoulder. Archon took the glove for his own trophy and eventual use.
In more recent years, Archon has been doing battle with Tau, which he greatly enjoys. Their weak morale, weaker bodies, and inability to deal with a ceramite-clad berserker lend to Archon enjoying the act of slaughtering Fire Warriors and their associated battlesuits. This fury has recently been quenched by a new rival in the form of the Tau known as Coldstrike.
