ZHANLU CHAOS - RELIC » Common Name: The Daemon Wheel » Used By: Azraea » Purpose: A powerful support tool capable of creating shields, explosions, or summoning a small squad of bloodletters Noteworthy Features Zhanlu is a powerful chaos artefact in possession of the daemon prince Azraea the Amaranthine. This ancient construct was bestowed with exceptional power as a gift from Khorne upon her ascension, and serves as a potent tool of war and slaughter. Even before being infused with the power of the warp, Zhanlu was a useful tool in Azraea's arsenal. It is extremely durable, and due to Khorne's blessing, most damage will repair itself as it melts and reforms. However, damaging Zhanlu is no easy feat. Zhanlu features ancient shield technology capable of blocking most attacks, whether physical or energy based. The shield surrounds Zhanlu's main body, and thus it can be used as a traditional shield, like a storm shield. However, each of the various spokes can be removed from Zhanlu and spread about, extending and anchoring the shield to new points, potentially altering the shape of the shield and spreading it over a fairly substantial area. In doing so, it weakens the shield, but is still more than capable of repelling a great deal of damage, or stopping physical objects, such as people, from passing through. No matter how far the shield spreads, the main hub of Zhanlu always serves as a central core, and must remain in or near the center, necessitating Azraea leaving it somewhere or moving away from it. Khorne's gift has empowered Zhanlu in its own way. Each of the spokes is capable of radiating incredible heat, and can build up an immense amount of physical and warp-based energy. By doing so, each of the spokes becomes a powerful bomb, on par with a meltacharge. After being discharged, they must be returned to the hub to gather more energy, but having twelve of them gives Azraea a good deal of options.  Alternatively, when fully charged, a spoke can be released and by taking advantage of Azraea's presence and the warp charge contained within, serves as a physical core for manifesting a single bloodletter under her command. If the bloodletter is defeated, the spoke must return and recharge before it can be used again. Appearance Zhanlu, known as the daemon wheel, lives up to its name. It is, without a doubt, a wheel. However, it is a very old style. The felloes, or outer ring of the wheel upon which it rolls, is made of a strange metal alloy not seen in use by the Imperium, and measures 2-1/2 inches across and 2 inches deep. Twelve spokes are slotted through and extended into the central hub. A rocky coating encrusts and expands across two of the spokes at a twelve-and-six layout and connects to the central hub. As each of the spokes is a removable weapon in its own right, this rocky portion keeps Zhanlu from falling apart if all are removed. The hub is almost completely encased in dark gray rock. The only openings are the ports for the metal spokes. When the spokes are removed, it is revealed that the interior of Zhanlu's hub is molten hot and glows a fiery red. Despite being a wheel, and wheel-shaped, Zhanlu would likely not work very well as an actual wheel.
